Site project
I am always on the look out for a good web hosting site that someone like me (techonologically challenged) would be comfortable using. I was browsing around and have come across a site that suits me well. Now, the only thing I need to find is time to do all these things. I would like to renovate my site and add a few things, improve on the layout and colour. It has been over a year since I've given proper attention to my website and I would probably need to dedicate more time here if I want to see this project through. Only time will tell!

Intercontinental Asia Hotel Super Sale is On Again!

Okay, times are tough when the big name companies come up with sales every few months or so. The last Intercontinental sale was in February. Okay, maybe the sale really was so great they had to bring it back again! Well, so they have!
Intercontinental Hotel sale starts on 15 April, 2009 wednesday and will go on for 3 full days!!
So Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental in Asia will be available at such good rates, and if I only I could travel endlessly I would billet myself and hubby every month..
Anyway, if you are planning a trip, have planned a trip in and around Asia, but still need some great place to stay then I suggest turning your alarm on to remind yourself of the Great Asia sale!

Techie Web stuff
So much for trying to be a techie geek, I haven't really been very successful in searching for a new theme or layout for this cyber space of mine. It was hard enough to find a web hosting service that suited my needs (eg, user friendly, easy to follow, etc). Do have a read through my host as they do have quite a good interface and simple instructions on setting up a site. Now, I wish I can have more time to surf for some colourful layouts. However, I have an appointment in an hour! So, I will do more searching later in the day. Oh dear!

That Christmas tradition
Spoke with a good friend from Manila last week, and she was telling me about what to give her daughter this Christmas. While on the topic of Santa, I’ve told her that there was this provider or service that would send to their home Letters From Santa himself! We were both sharing about our own experiences on writing Santa letters and receiving gifts that we asked for. It’s just really heartwarming to talk about traditions such as these, that are still being passed on from one generation to the next. I can’t wait to get my own little one to help write Santa letters!
Just like job hunting
They say when one goes into a business franchise it should be something that one is passionate about, because diving into a business is meant to be long term. A few or so years ago I was researching the probable best franchise for myself. I saw a couple that really interested me. However, I did not pursue this nor did I even speak with a franchise broker. Perhaps it wasn’t the right time then, or maybe I should have just made an appointment with anyone who may have known about any small business for sale, but I was not in a rush. Only recently did I find out that there is such a site which I know would try their best to match up the potential business owner and direct to the appropriate and suitable business. I think that this is quite a good thing to consider, that the right business for the right person. I mean, it is easy to just invest money but hard to actually invest one’s time and effort into something is something that needs careful consideration.
Something that crossed my mind just now: I think finding the right business for you is like looking for a job and going for interviews. A business idea or proposal may be appealing in the beginning just like the prospect of starting in a new company where it all seems so exciting and promising. However, when it comes to the actual details, we may realize that this employer may not take us to where we want to go in terms of growth and career. Same with a business. Makes me think now, is there something that I may never grow tired to work for? I guess it’s pretty obvious my choice will still be travel.

Tech rant (again)
I’ve never been a real techie person, and so when I was starting out in this blog bandwagon I did endless research on a good web hosting site. I found out that I did not really have to be a tech geek or an IT graduate to be able to run my own site. It still has its challenges, and it does take me a lot longer to do my widget configurations and all that, but I manage (in some ways). I have been thinking about changing my site layout again, but I am just not prepared to go through having to adjust all the settings and all that just yet. Maybe when my boyfriend heads off overseas for two weeks I will be able to work on this.

How easy to get Information Nowadays
I am amazed at how great the modern society is at information. I have come across reverse lookup database that can track the owner for any phone number in the United States and Canada. What is interesting is that the whole process is a discreet and easy procedure that no one will have a clue about investigating on that telephone stalker, or that old strange high school sweetheart trying to be in contact again. Truly the whole process is the most confidential one. I might suggest this to my friend who has been getting calls from telemarketers and stalkers alike.

Bulli Weekend Getaway
One of the places I went to when my family was here was to place called Bulli, located at the South Coast of New South Wales. It was my first time to travel along the South Coast, and it was such an amazingly relaxing experience because it was located right on the beach. Aside from that first time South, it was the first time I’ve stayed in a Caravan Park. We don’t have caravan parks in Asia, and I think it is quite a cool that they offer you a parking spot to place your caravan, or they do have a built in cabin type as well. Obviously since I don’t own a caravan, we stayed at a beach cabin with sea views. We even had our own terrace, where we spent a few nights just chatting away and where we played cards. One sunny afternoon we barbequed and grilled seafood at the picnic area across our very own cabin! For entire duration on that long weekend we rented mountain bikes and just went biking around the park, as well as the bike path which was scenically located on the beach. It was such a stress less weekend. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a weekend away as much as I enjoyed that Bulli weekend.
In a few years my family and I are planning to do a big trip and as early as now I am saving up for flights to USA or Europe. I am sure that would be another amazing experience. The US has great shorelines particularly in California and Florida. Or even beaches or lakes in Italy, Greece or Portugal would be nice too. I guess as much as I enjoy going on a trip to the mountains, beaches offer a different and refreshing endless view of the ocean. Well, wherever that may be if it is a much needed break, then the time away will be appreciated. I am looking at the website Dialaflight, and it seems they have heaps of deals ongoing throughout the year to the destinations I am hoping to travel to.

Italy here I come!
As I've been constantly writing about my love for internet hotel websites, I've stumbled upon one site which is based and operates in Italy. At www.freereservation.com one can look up different properties to find the best Hotel Venice, Hotel Florence, or even Hotel Naples. The website offers different accommodation types such as: bed and breakfasts, hotel types or even the apartment type which caters to families travelling on a budget (or not). I've noticed that the website can even be viewed in other languages such as Italian, French, Spanish or German. Having that facility is very handy for travellers who speak a language other than English.
One thing to note here is that the website's search engine allows for real time booking availability and details. And in completing the forms and the booking process one can be assured that at all times the sensitive information keyed in are secure. Topping this one off, is the main thing that the website can offer which is : great value for money to be used on accommoation in Italy. This will come in quite handy for me again next year, when hopefuly I get to travel around the world! One can never know too much good accomodation websites!

Remember Hotel Reservations next time you're planning a holiday
I've always been fond of researching about countries, cities, hotels, resorts, motels and such. Always after the best hotel discounts and rates. I find it a challenge to find great bargains, as I am in endless search for weekend getaways or planning my long holidays. Call it therapy, but I just really call it fun! Finding Hotel Reservations for me is like finding a gem in a field, they've got the best guaranteed low rates or you get a rebate (conditions apply). What's good is that they have flights and cars as well. Imagine having to go to one store and find everything you need for your holiday! Another option I may be looking at would be their vacation rentals and vacation packages! For sure those deals would be as enticing!
Browsing through Hotel Reservations' website is easy. Everything is stated clearly: details of the hotel such as room category, amenities, photos as well as plotting the hotel location onto the map. This is such a great feature for me, as I am a visual person that needs to know where I will be situated because I like being oriented beforehand.
Whether you are still in the research or the finalising stage, Hotel Reservations' website can assist you. I find their destination guide pretty useful. It has an extensive list of cities around the globe, each country guide covers the basic things you need to know in visiting the country.
Another good thing about Hotel Reservations is that they don't impose change or cancellation fees (hotels have their own policies though regarding this), as sometimes it really is inevitable that things change. Having said all these benefits, what I can really say that stands out above it all are their rates. Competitive and guaranteed lower rates. I should actually get going as I am searching for a resort to stay at around Sydney over the Easter holidays.
